How to check VPNio on Fire TV or Android TV
Check the app’s connection state, ordinary internet access, and the public route from the same TV. Each check answers a different question.
Start with a compatible device
Use the official VPNio app on a compatible Android or Fire OS device. Check the device’s operating system first. Vega OS compatibility with the Android APK remains unconfirmed; contact support before relying on that setup.
Run a simple connection check
A phone or laptop on the same Wi-Fi does not establish that a VPN running on the TV is carrying the TV’s traffic. Use the same device for the route check.
- Before connecting, confirm the TV can open an ordinary website.
- Connect through VPNio and inspect the app’s displayed connection state.
- Open an ordinary website again on the TV.
- If a browser is available on that TV, compare its public IP before and after connecting, using the same IP-check page.
Understand the result
A changed public IP shows a changed route for that browser check. It does not by itself prove every app uses the VPN, establish DNS or IPv6 handling, verify a kill switch, or guarantee anonymity or streaming access.
The VPNio server-status page reports server check-in information. It is not a test of your device’s tunnel or speed.
If the checks fail
Record which step failed and the app’s exact message. Contact support with your TV model, operating system, and selected server. Avoid repeated purchases or sharing credentials while troubleshooting.
Need help with your account?
Use your VPNio account to check your subscription and access details, or contact support. Include the device model, operating system, and exact error message. Keep passwords, activation PINs, and full payment details out of screenshots and messages.
